The security system seizes the phone line and dials Monitoring America. The automation system at Monitoring America identifies your system and routes the alarm to a dispatcher. The dispatcher's computer displays your location, phone number, the alarm zone that has been violated, phone numbers of local authorities, special instructions and the phone numbers of others to contact.
In an effort to reduce false alarms our dispatcher will call your location. If there is no answer or if an incorrect passcode is provided, we will dispatch the local authorities. The dispatcher then calls your pre-arranged list.
